Easter brunch at home with Ulrika

Easter is just around the corner, and we’re invited to the home of our founder and designer, Ulrika, for a lovely Easter brunch. Get inspired by Ulrika’s Easter table setting and her inviting way of hosting!

“I take every opportunity to invite my friends and family over. Cooking is one of my biggest interests and has been for as long as I can remember. Therefore, every gathering naturally begins with planning the menu. I recently subscribed to New York Times Cooking – which has become a great source of inspiration. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in food!”

“Once the menu is planned, I start thinking about how to set the table to create a warm and inviting space for my guests. It often starts with a tablecloth that sets the tone and colours. Next, I think about which porcelain and glassware best suit the food I’ll be serving. Last but not least, I add some beautiful flowers to highlight the table. I like having the table set before my guests arrive – it adds to the feeling of being welcomed the moment you step through the door.”

“To create a welcoming atmosphere in every way, I try to make the whole apartment feel cozy. Lighting candles, arranging flowers, and fluffing the cushions on the sofa – these little details make all the difference. Last but not least, I make sure the bathroom has clean towels, a small flower by the sink, and, as a final touch, I might light a scented candle.

Finally, I think about what to wear – and I always find myself in the shower just 15 minutes before my guests arrive.

Happy Easter, and a warm welcome to my home!” -Ulrika
